Dr. Geisinger is a Professor, Director of Advanced Education in Periodontology, and Acting Chair of the Department of Periodontology in the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is a Diplomate in the American Board of Periodontology and a Fellow in the International Team for Implantology, the International College of Dentists, and the American College of Dentists. She currently serves at the President of the American Academy of Periodontology. She has authored over 80 peer-reviewed publications and serves on the editorial board of several journals.
